Just added the DR-Z to my insurance, anyone want to hazard a guess how much it added to my premium?

last time I insured A bike in that class it was about $125/yr... if you have a multiple vehicle discount it might be under $100....

yeah, Progressive seems to be pretty reasonable about bike policies, I have my BMW on them... but I only have one bike.... they charge me what, $287 or something like that a year...

so, just stop me when i get there...

I assumed that was a guess at an annual increase, after all the last bike I added only increased my premium by $5 per year!

And I’ll save that much by commuting with it for a single week over the E39...

That said, when I added my 50cc, the increase was $5, I honestly felt bad because just the phone call probably cost them more than that.

It’s reliable as hell and tough as nails, but the parts are ridiculously expensive. I also have a $50 comprehensive deductible. I don’t know if Hagerty does bikes, but the thing’s old enough and getting more difficult to get parts for... :/

Oh yeah, I go through the same on my E39, really nice to see they can keep the same brand identity across the whole company :)

Do you want to hear an even funnier insurance cost story?

I added my old truck to my policy.

you’ll never guess the cost so I’ll just tell you. -$120 bucks. Yes you read that right NEGATIVE $120 dollars per year.

You see when you add a second vehicle to your policy you receive a discount. My discount was $378 bucks and the cost of insurance for the truck was $258. So in reality my truck insurance is cheaper than free since it literally pays me $10/month to insure this truck.
